Nourishing clinical strength skin care with mybody #review

These long winter days are starting to take their toll on my skin. I can’t stand it when my face feel so dry, dry skin always makes my wrinkles stand out even more. Not good! I was thrilled to be able to try out two wonderful skin care products from the new mybody collection which was founded in 2011 by Therese Clark and co-founders David and Christine Watson. The mybody product line offers a clinical skin care regimen that nourishes your skin from the inside out. 

mybody has many different products for all stages and ages of skin with three basic skin type programs to choose from — aging, sensitive and acne. I have been using two products from the sensitive line, which is perfect for my dry breakout prone skin.

Beat The Rush is step two of either the sensitive or acne plan. This Anti-Redness treatment is a skin-calming serum created to help control red, itchy and rough skin. It is ideal for those who suffer from red blotchy skin casued by rosacea. Suggested use for both AM/PM. 

I’ve used Beat The Rush for several days now, the lotion has a pleasant scent and is nice and thick — but not too thick. It’s easy to apply and work into the skin. The first time I used this, my skin felt quite tingly, not burning but it was almost there. I’m pretty sure that this is because my skin is just so very dry right now. The second and third time, it didn’t feel as tingly. 

Safety Blanket by mybody is my favorite of the two products I’ve tried. This gentle hydrating lotion can be used daily (AM/PM) to nourish sensitive and delicate skin. With ingredients such as Calendula, Chamomile and Cucumber extracts and Vitamins A, E and D3, Saftey Blanket is formulated to calm, hydrate and protect your skin.

I love the creamy luxurious feeling this lotion has when it’s smoothed over my face and neck. Like Beat the Rush, it has a pleasant scent that doesn’t irritate my skin. My skin feels so smooth right after using Safety Blanket and I really like that this lotion doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on my skin at all.

p.s. I have found out that the active ingredient 4-ethoxybenzaldehyde — is an organic ingredient naturally found in food that is also found to be an effective vasoconstrictor helping to constrict blood vessels to reduce redness. There is a slight tingling sensation and it also smells like cinnamon. The stinging or tingling feeling does subside.
