To help women better understand their bladder health, including UTIs, Dr. Elizabeth Kavaler, M.D., Board-Certified Urologist, is the featured expert of the new Cystex “Know Your Bladder Better” video series at www.cystex.com. Physician-recommended Cystex® is the first and only over-the-counter medication that combines a pain reliever for temporary relief of the burning and discomfort of urinary tract infections (UTIs), along with an antibacterial agent that helps stop the progression of the infection. It’s not a cure, but a way to be proactive and deal with an annoying problem while you wait for that doctor appointment date!
This new video series covers important information such as
- UTIs Facts & symptoms; UTIs account for more than eight million doctor visits each year and are considered the second most common infection in the body!
- Public Restroom use and UTIs: What you need to know!
- Sex and the UTI Connection. Honeymoon cystitis?
- Can cranberries really cure UTIs?
- How does menopause increase your UTI risk?
I found these short videos informative and to be a great jumping point for doing your own research on the subject. They offer valid reasons about the hows an whys of urinary tract infections in a quick Q & A format.

I learned that Cystex is the only over-the-counter urinary pain reliever available with a dual-action formula that not only eases the pain and burning caused by a urinary tract infection (UTI), but also contains an antibacterial (methenamine) to help keep the infection from getting worse while you wait for your doctor’s appointment. It won’t cause a change in your urine color either. This is GREAT as the other OTC products don't have the antibacterial AND cause your urine to turn ORANGE!!!!!
