Protect Your Children from MRSA during fall sports season

EquipThemWelAs a mom to two active kids I do tend to worry about their health, both in and out of the locker room. That’s why I thought it was important to share this informative video on MRSA.

The skin infection, MRSA, is an antibiotic resistant Staph infection that can be potentially life threatening. One way Kids can pick up this contagious disease is by sharing sports equipment. The best defense to help stop MRSA now is by remembering these three simple steps of the Equip Them Well program:

Collect, Disinfect, Donate.

First collect  all equipment that has been shared (helmets, shoes, gloves, baseball bats, rackets). Then use a mixture of 3/4 cup of Clorox bleach and 1 gallon of water to wipe down and disinfect the equipment. Lastly visit stopmrsanow.org for information on how to donate outgrown equipment to needy communities.

As a member of One2One Network I have been entered to win one of ten $25 gift cards for sharing this information.
