Mrs. Smith’s Pies bring Holiday Cheer + FREE pie Giveaway!

Sometimes you just want pie! Sharing a slice… or two of pie with a loved one, over a cup of tea or coffee, is a great way to connect. You don't even need to start from scratch — I'll occasionally pick up a Mrs. Smith's pie from our grocer's freezer section and bake it up to share.

Mrs. Smith’s pies have been a favorite, ever since I can remember! Our local store only carries a few varieties but bigger stores have so many delicious flavors, including Sweet Potato, Mince, Blueberry, Pumpkin, Apple and more. We recently enjoyed a Mrs. Smith's Classic Cherry Pie, it tasted just as good as I remember!

The crust on the Classic Cherry Pie is flaky and buttery while the cherry filling is thick, juicy and just sweet enough! The color is gorgeous too. My daughter was pretty proud of herself for  baking the pie by herself, then serving it to our family with a heaping dollop of whipped cream.

Mrs. Smith's was founded by a Mrs. Amanda Smith of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, who in the early 1920's started baking and sharing pies with friends, family and for charity events. Her son, Robert, is the one who finally convinced her to start selling. We're so glad he did! Today, Mrs. Smith’s pies are still making people smile and sharing good cheer.

For every Mrs. Smith's pie that is purchased throughout the months of November and December, Mrs. Smith's donates $1.00 to Operation Homefront. This amazing organization provides emergency assistance to families of our service members and wounded warriors. How wonderful that we can help out, just by buying a pie!
