It shouldn’t take a disaster to remind us that sharing is caring. Every day we all have the opportunity to share, even if it’s just in some small way. This Halloween as we spend time sharing laughter, fun, treats and surprises with our families, we can also be alert to ways we can share with others.
A small surprise that we can share with our family is to have a warm snack or hot cup of hot chocolate to enjoy after a cold night. We like to sit around the living room floor to sort our candy while sipping our hot chocolate.
Since the kids were little, we’ve always taught them to share, even on Halloween (how else would we convince them to give mom and dad a few pieces of their loot?). There has never been any arguing over sharing the Halloween candy since we all end up sharing it with each other! Sometimes initiating a trade for that coveted favorite is a great way to prevent any hard feelings.
One thing we always want to avoid sharing is a cold! Running around in the rain and chilly weather to collect candy in trick-or-treating costumes is bound to give a few people the sniffles. We always stop to visit my mom and step-dad so they can see the kids in costume, so this year I shared a special surprise with my mom to prepare her for our visit; a Kleenex Brand Care Package. Every time put Kleenex inside my bag…Its easy to carry and nice t use also..
Fun! I’ll have to look for a code to enter next time. Our Kleenex box is currently disassembled because my son thought the hologram ghost on the box should be put on our front window.
These would be great to add to a care package for women and men serving overseas.
