Better Homes and Gardens website redesign!

One of my favorite magazines is Better Homes and Gardens, I am also a frequent visitor to their website, BHG.com. Have you been there lately? Well, today unveils the brand new BHG.com, with changes readers asked for, it’s better than ever so I hope you take a peek!

The top five new features of the new BHG.com are:

1. a fresh, clean design

BHG HomepageWow! BHG.com’s new look has a wonderful clean and uncluttered feel, with a great layout!

 

2. new slideshow formats

The new slideshows are awesome and a fun way to quickly read through articles and info without long boring blocks of image-less text. Along with the new large images in slideshows, you can now click the link “view all thumbnail” button to go back and check out things you’d like to read more about. Saving and sharing is super simple now too! Cook time info and ratings area anther wonderful addition to food slideshows.

 

3. easy-to-use navigation

I find it easier than ever to navigate through all of the topics I love! With three new ways to navigate, it’s a snap to get the info I’m searching for. The top navigation bar on the home page holds the most looked for topics, sub topics appear while hovering over each main topic. Navigation links also appear on the left side of the page when you click on a category or sub category from the top navigation bar. Clicking on topics in these “groupings” are another easy way to find what you’re looking for. And of course there is always the search bar when you know what you’re looking for.

4. bigger, beautiful images

Whoever penned the saying, “A photo is worth a thousand words”, is definitely onto something! BHG.com’s new larger images are gorgeous and definitely keep me browsing on the site longer. I could almost lick the screen for some of those food photos!

 

5. daily updates

BHG.com is updated multiple times per day. Each channel’s top ten list is updated throughout the day to show what women like you are enjoying!
