Tinker Bell is Flitterific in Secret of the Wings Movie #Review

I do believe in fairies — always have, always will. Which is why I love spending time in the fantasy land that Disney has created with all of its Tinker Bell movies, books and products. Set to release on October 23rd, “Secret of The Wings” is the fourth and newest Disney Fairies feature length movie for families to fall in love with.  In this film, we are taken deep into the magical world of Pixie Hollow where our favorite tinker fairy, Tinker Bell, lets her curiosity get the better of her, yet again.

If you have ever wondered where Winter would fit into the seasons of Pixie Hollow, Secret of The Wings may answer a few questions you may have had. { SPOILER } The adventure that follows after Tinker Bell goes on a quest to find out why her wings sparkled when she entered the forbidden Winter Woods is a sweet tale about how two long lost sisters find each other. Born of the same laugh and separated at birth, both Tinker Bell and her sister Periwinkle, who we meet for the first time in Secret of the Wings, are surprised and overjoyed to find out that they have each other.

Along with her friends Fawn, Iridessa, Rosetta, Silvermist and Vidia, Tinker Bell tries to sneak Periwinkle into the warm seasons side of Pixie Hollow for a visit. They quickly are disappointed though when Lord Milori discovers their disastrous attempt. Lord Milori and Queen Clarion forbid the fairy sisters from crossing the border ever again. Realizing that they may never see each other again is simply heartbreaking to the two fairies who come from opposite sides of their world.

I don’t want to give away the ending, but I must say that I teared up a few times! Especially as Queen Clarion told the story of two fairies who fell in love, yet could not be together — one from Winter Woods and one from the warm seasons. Together, Tinker Bell and Periwinkle discover the secret of the sparkling fairy wings! As with most movies of this sort, I will tell you that the ending was smile-worthy and wonderful! 

Disney Fairies Secret of The Wings features some amazing voice talent, including one of my favorites, Mae Whitman as Tinker Bell. Our entire family enjoyed this movie. The animations are beautiful and the musical score is charming.

There are moments that make you laugh, smile and tear up. I love how Secret of The Wings takes your emotions on a ride along with its fast pace. We’ve watched twice already together and I’m watching it again myself as I type this up — I just couldn’t resist! Check out this Exclusive sneak peak!
