I big puffy heart coffee! The first thing I do when I stumble out of bed in the morning is head for the coffee pot. (doesn’t everyone?) Super Genius wakes up earlier than I so it’s usually made and 3/4 of the way gone by then. Grr, I am a non-morning person and I need my coffee! Since I have to make more anyway I like to make flavored coffee for myself, Super G. won’t drink it, he claims he doesn’t like flavored coffee. (what’s with the french vanilla cappuccinos you get all the time from the gas station then huh?) So, I was pretty excited to have a chance to review some Dunkin’ Donuts coffee recently. Believe it or not I’ve never tried Dunkin’ Donuts coffee (that I know of) before this blog tour, there isn’t a shop close to our home, and I’ve never thought to pick a bag up at the store. I have always enjoyed the commercials where sleepy people’s coffee cups drag them across town to land in front of the Dunkin’ Donuts packages in a store’s coffee aisle though. Funny stuff!
It was a pleasant surprise to receive three different flavors of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee to review – Hazelnut, French Vanilla, and Cinnamon Spice. Cinnamon Spice :o Oh boy, now that’s a bit different sounding, I thought when I saw it. So of course, that’s the first one I tried. It. Is. Delicious. There is a subtle hint of cinnamon with just a touch of spice. It makes me want to eat a pumpkin doughnut, Seriously, they would be perfect together.
This morning when I came back from Jazzercise class I felt my energy dragging so I made a fresh pot of Dunkin’ Donuts French Vanilla coffee. I figured it would taste like all other french vanilla’s I’ve tried but really didn’t expect it to exceed them in flavor. It truly did though! This french vanilla has a satisfyingly bold coffee flavor without any of that sweetness that some other brands I’ve tried have. I took a sip and immediately thought “Ooh! That’s nice!” It is very nice, so nice in fact that I’m on my third cup. MMmm!
I’ve yet to try the Hazelnut but if it’s anywhere near as good as the other two than I’m in for a treat! Dunkin’ Donuts also has some awesome seasonal flavored coffees. The one I most want to try is the Mocha Mint, oh that sounds heavenly! The store finder says it’s sold in my area so I’ll be on the prowl for it this weekend! Though the Dunkin’ Donuts coffee sold in stores is produced by the J.M. Smucker Company, the 100% premium Arabica beans are specially blended and roasted in a way to give you the same yummy taste that you love. I’m thinking the new seasonal flavors would make a great gift for my coffee loving friends! Add a cute mug, a pretty bow and you’ll be makign someone’s day a little brighter!
