We all know how frustrating regular plastic wrap can be to use! In fact, I am plastic wrap challenged, I can never get the stuff to stay put or stop sticking to itself. When asked to try out the new CoverMate stretch-to-fit food covers I happily accepted. CoverMate food covers are a BPA, PVC and Latex free FDA compliant food safe product that can be used to safely and quickly store food. The stretchy flexband that runs around the bottom of each heavy duty cover works well, it stretches easily but stays tight against whatever it is you’re covering. The unique shape has built in corners so the cover adjusts to fit either round or square containers. There are also small vents in each corner to allow steam to escape when microwaving. Yep, they’re safe to use in the microwave too (leave a one inch gap between food and cover).
One of my favorite things about the CoverMate cover is that it is completely reusable! Each cover has an estimated life of 10 uses and they are dishwasher safe (top rack only)! For us poor souls who don’t have a dishwasher a quick swish in a sink of soapy water and a rinse will do just fine. The variety pack I received is very useful. I love the large cover which fits my 9×13 baking dish perfectly and the extra large cover goes right on my large pizza stone! Storing leftovers in the fridge is so much easier since I don’t have to dig through the cupboard for a lid to match my numerous storage containers. I don’t even need to transfer the leftovers into a new container, just pop a plastic cover onto the serving or baking dish and I’m done. Love it!
I can see these as being great for picnics and potlucks this summer. Also, you won’t be too upset if it gets lost since you can always get another cover to fit any dish! Another big plus is that they are clear so people will be able to see what’s inside. The covers can stay on until servings are dished out to keep them safe from pests or keep the ice out while keeping chilled in the ice chest.

These are just what I have been looking for! I bought Saran Quik-Covers in the 3 sizes they made and then, I guess, they discontinued them because I cannot find them anywhere. Big bowls, square tins, I will use them everywhere. I will most certainly order some and I'd love to win the variety pack.
In the past we've been terrible about eating leftovers — these will go a long way to make sure that all the food we cook stays fresh and gets eaten before it goes bad.

I love how convenient these are! We cover things like pans of brownies, cornbread, and salads with plastic wrap and it's always a nightmare to open and reseal. These will be much easier!
