Avery Give Back to Schools

If you’re like me, you’re already counting down the days until summer vacation starts (21 more!) and the kids will be home to enjoy family activities and maybe even travel plans. Before we start the summer celebration, let’s make some noise for our local schools by voting in the 3rd annual Avery Give Back to Schools™ promotion!

Starting today, May 7th, through September 14, 2012, you will have the opportunity to vote daily for your favorite schools! 40 schools that will win huge prizes, yours could be one of them!

  • The top five schools will win $10,000 of Avery-brand school supplies, 25,000 Box Tops for Education coupons and $1,000 worth of gift cards
  • The next 25 schools will win runner-up prizes of $10,000 Box Tops.
  • Also, 10 schools with at least 100 votes, will win $5,000 Box Tops.
  • official rules

The Avery Give Back to Schools™ program is one of the ways Avery Office and Consumer Products supports its belief that a solid education is the cornerstone of a strong community.  To enable children to receive the education that they need and deserve, Avery provides financial and in-kind support to children, teachers and schools through programs such as Box Tops for Education®.

What types of school supplies will be donated? Avery will make available a variety of school supplies for donation including binders, dividers, labels, cards, name badges, Hi-Liters®, glue stics, flash cards and more. The five grand prize winning schools will select the products they need most.

The Avery Give Back to Schools™ promotion is a wonderful way to get involved with helping your school. Each year, this wonderful Avery campaign donates thousands of dollars in products, cash and Box Tops to K-8 schools all over the country.

This year, I was fortunate enough to be able to help my school when Avery offered to donate $1,000 worth of Avery brand school supplies to a school of my choosing! Of course, I chose our local elementary school. How wonderful to be able to give something back to the teachers at our favorite school! I also received a small sampling of the Avery products that our school will be receiving and I must say, they will be able to put these items to great use!

Avery school supplies

Over the years, we have bought many Avery items during our back to school shopping trips, especially the sturdy binders! My daughter has already claimed the funky red, white and black binder as her own, along with a pack of highlighters and sticky notes! Our son will be able to use several items as well and even my hubby was excited about having a new binder for work contracts! I personally love the Avery highlighters and glue stics. The highlighters are very bright and easy to read through, plus they last a long time. The glue sticks are wonderful and so much neater to use than liquid glue, they’ve been a household favorite for many years.

  32. Heather says:

My favorite Avery product are labels. I use them for everything – especially when I send stuff to school and when I do my volunteer work for school. I can easily use the labels to organize my folders. I especially love the newer shapes – like the squares and circle labels.

  33. Jen V. says:

Although it is not a school supply, my favorite Avery product is their shipping labels. We use them when we go out letterboxing. Instead of bringing our logbook with us like most letterboxers do, we stamp instead on the Avery labels. Then when we get home, we put the stamped labels in our logbook when we get home. Keeps our logbooks from being destroyed while we are on the trail.

  34. Claire says:

I like the highlighters; they always are handy.
