I have to be just a tiny bit wordy this week! Last week as I was hopping around to check out everyone’s WW post, I had to stop and smile at Alison‘s in particular. Her photo of her son wearing her Ugg boots just reminded me so much of my kids when they were little! I had to dig out photos of them wearing too-big-boots too!
These photos of my two little ones bring back such sweet memories! It’s been so long! I want to say Mr.T. is around 3/4-ish in this photo (I can hardly believe he’s 16 already). He used to always run around in his daddy’s cowboy boots. the ride-on-horse has another story behind it. My dad and I were shopping at McCormick’s in Edinboro when T spotted this horse. He WOULD NOT GET OFF of it. He rode it around the entire store and then my dad had to buy it for him because there was no way he was getting off. He rode it out to the car and held it all the way home. Silly boy!
Pie’s photo is from when she was around oh, 5 I think. She loved to try on dad’s Harley biker boots and helmet and pretend to be a big bad biker. When she was little she always wandered around wearing barn boots and dresses so she naturally liked to try on Dad’s boots too! Now that I think about it, I remember her constantly stealing a pair of her brother’s too-big-boots and hiding them in her closet when she was little

There’s hardly anything more special or fun than looking back at old photos. What fond memories come back, huh? Those two are really precious and I can remember many of my kids doing the same thing too!

Great pics! I LOVE pics of kids in cowboy boots…my son went through a phase where all he wore were cowboy boots and it was the cutest thing ever!

I LOVE IT!!!! It’s going to be one of those things I look back and remember fondly. I guess it’s a kid thing to wear these huge boots! Love your son in the cowboy boots!

I never thought to take pictures of my kids wearing mine and their dad/step dads shoes! They have at it with the shoe closet and walk around pretending to be whoever shoes they have on – it’s rather comical!
