Gifts For Book Lovers: Out of Print Coaster Set

I have the perfect place to shop, if you’re a lover of books and literature! Out of Print is an online clothing store that offers the “world’s greatest stories through fashion.” Their t shirts feature gorgeous graphic images of iconic and classic book covers, many that are out of print — hence the name.

Browsing around the site, I saw so many items that I would like to have because of the book cover they feature! They even have a t shirt with Harry The Dirty Dog on it!! I loved that book when I was a kid and still have my original copy, really thinking about buying the shirt to go with it! For those with a more adult taste, both men and women can find shirts featuring The Great Gatsby, The Color Purple, 1984, Charlotte’s Web, Tales of The Jazz Age and so many more!

The soft beautiful colors of the clothing fits so well with the theme and any one of the items would make a nice gift for a book lover!

Out of Print sent over a set of their Out of Print Coasters for review. I really like this little set of 8 water resistant coasters! The storage case is a pretty blue canvas covered and looks just like a little hard cover book. Each of the coasters nestles inside the cover when not in use. They look like the pages of a book when stored away on the coffee table or shelf.

Each of the 8 coasters features a different book cover. The set includes:

  • Invisible Man
  • Pride and Prejudice
  • Brave New World
  • Lolita
  • On The Road
  • Catch-22
  • Nineteen Eighty-Four
  • The Hound of the Baskervilles

The colors are subtle yet eye-catching and I love the eclectic look of them. The coasters themselves are nice and thick and have a water resistant coating. This is definitely a set of coasters you’ll want to use and they’ll be a great conversation starter when guests are over.

Going into a used book store is like making time stop. I love the smell, the way the light is always full of dust motes, and the muffled sound from all those buffering pages. And the excitement of holding a really old book, knowing that others have turned the same pages, by candlelight or firelight or incandescent light…sipped their tea or wine, left a splotch or two, smeared a corner with lipstick from a licked finger…met the same characters, and then passed the adventure on to the next explorer. I appreciate e readers, but the experience is just not the same.
