What do you do with a pot of fresh snow?

Make snow ice cream of course! Yum!

Just make sure it isn’t the yellow kind ;)

When you have a deep layer of freshly fallen snow, make Snow Ice Cream!
Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 6
  • 1 gallon snow
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (we found this was TOO much, try 1 tsp first!)
  • 2 cups milk
  1. Go outside and tromp out to the pristine snow in the middle of the yard.
  2. Scoop off the top layer of freshly fallen snow.
  3. Stay away from the yellow snow.
  4. Stir together the sugar, 1½ cups of the milk, and vanilla to taste, then stir into the snow until desired consistency adding remaining ½ cup of milk as needed.
  5. Serve at once.

I miss snow. We rarely get it down here. Big change from all the snow we used to get in Ohio!
