I may have mentioned a time or two that Super G. is a contractor by trade. This means that I can usually buy him a cool new power tool or accessory and he’s happy as all get out. Super G. beat me to it this year when he bought himself a new set of cordless drills before his birthday. He’d read an article in a free trade magazine about the new Lithium-Ion powered Makita drills and since he was in the market for a new one anyway — he splurged. I did help him along by telling him to go for it, he always backs out of buying things for himself — even if he needs it for work. Darn it, I said – you DESERVE to have nice things too!
He got a good deal on his set but right now you can find them on Amazon for even less (and he didn’t even get the flashlight with his!)! The kit pictured above is the Makita LCT300W 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion Cordless 3-Piece Combo Kit.
Currently priced at $229.00 during the Countdown to Black Friday Amazon.com Deals, It includes:
- Two-speed 1/2-inch driver-drill
- Variable-speed impact driver
- Four-position flashlight with Xenon bulb runs over two hours per charge
- Compact lithium-ion battery and Energy Star-rated 15-minute rapid charger
- Backed by three-year warranty on tools and one-year warranty on batteries and charger
If you have a handy hubby, he’d probably love to find this sweet Makita Cordless 3-Piece Combo Kit underneath the Christmas tree! I know my hubs never stops raving about them and how much nicer they are than his old cordless drills. He says they are FAST and light, which is great because that means less fatigue on his wrists and hands!
Now don’t go thinking I didn’t get Super G. something totally cool for his birthday just because he beat me to it! I went back to the store and bought him the Makita Lithium-Ion Cordless FM/AM Job Site Radio. He kept looking at it in the store but wouldn’t buy it. Needless to say, he loved it! Now he can rock out on the roof whiel he’s nailing on those shingles :).
I can’t tell you exactly what I’ll be putting under the tree to go with his already owned Makita tools — BUT I can say that he’ll definitely enjoy them!
