SportsParent of the Year Contest + free issue of Sports Illustrated Kids!

While I am not the SportsParent of the year, I do enjoy watching my daughter play basketball. Our whole family attends her games to cheer her, and her friends, on from the sidelines! 

For the first time ever, Sports Illustrated Kids will recognize a SportsParent of the Year. This parent is dedicated to family and community, and includes sports as a part of an active, healthy lifestyle. She or he exemplifies the qualities that SI Kids aims to impart to children through a shared passion for sports, including: fun, dedication, healthy living, and the value of community and team.

If you think the above description describes you or someone you know, then you may want to apply to be the Sports Illustrated Kids “SportsParent” of the year! The winner of this prize will be honored as a parent who supports good sportsmanship without a focusing on trophies and prizes. This inspirational nominee will be a true role model to our children and the community. 

The winner will receive a $1000 gift card to use towards their children’s sports needs, as well as the potential to appear in an upcoming issue of Sports Illustrated Kids!

The contest runs through 12:00 P.M. EST on August 1, 2012 and ends 12:00 P.M. EST on September 3, 2012. To enter, you may visit the SIKids.com website and fill out the entry form by the deadline. One nomination per email account is allowed and the contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are age 18 or older years at time of entry.
