Orville Redenbacher’s SmartPop! Healthy Snacking Challenge

Our Healthy Snacking Challenge with Orville Redenbacher’s SmartPop! Popcorn has been going well. We’ve been enjoying this healthy treat at different times throughout the week and I’m really surprised by how satisfying a serving size is! There are just 100 calories in a 6-cup serving size and there are seven and a half cups of tasty popped corn in one bag! After popping a few bags since we started our Healthy Snacking Challenge, I finally figured out how to correctly open the top up! Wow, that was beyond easy — all I had to do was read the instructions *blush. There’s a little slit in the outer part of the bag that you separate just a bit in order to grab the plastic, then you pull back and it tears right off! I just thought I would share in case anyone else happens to be a dork like me!

While we do like to have our SmartPop! microwave popcorn while we’re watching a move, there are plenty of other times when we snack on it. The other day Pie actually asked me if she could have popcorn as her after school snack! I was pretty shocked — and proud of her for making a smart choice! Plus, I got to share the bag with her, WooHoo!
