In our backyard we have many things.
Speckled fluffy silly things
clucking cooing, a bit too curious
plump and useless wings
Things that offer beauty joy and softness
petals bursting with good cheer
sweetness tempts the buzzing
drifting to my ear
Things that brood with patience
and even warn to
stay away
Things with whiskers soft and long
that tickles noses cheeks eyelashes
offering a moment of innocence
in a gentle silent song
Things of brown green white and rose
with whispy dreams beside
that ever keep our hearts alight
with thoughts of cloudless skies.
What a beautiful post, can I come to your backyard?
Thanks Nichol, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but you’re welcome anytime ;)
