Guess what? Mama just got the kids good :). It was one of the funnest April Fools Day dinners we’ve had in a long time. I took everything over to my Mom & Lee’s house to prepare. No peeking that way! The kids came over with Super G. after school for supper.
We had cake for dinner. Two of them. The kids didn’t really buy that, they knew something was up. Just not what. {get the recipe for the Spaghetti Torte I made. It’s good!} One of those cakes looked a bit strange.
The thing that really got them was the strawberry jello “juice“. I didn’t think Lee was going to be able to quit laughing when Mr.T. picked up his glass and tried to suck the jello through it. Oh wow was THAT funny! Luckily Pie was using the little girl’s room when he found the surprise so we got to enjoy her discovering the jello juice too. Then, while I did the dishes, Mr.T. gave grandma a makeover….um maybe this should be called a make under?? Sorry mom, I don’t like the spiked Mohawk look on you so much, but I love you! Don’t hurt me :)
Ahh, good times. What did you do for April Fools Day?
We, really like the wonderful April Fools Dinner you made tonight! The Spaghetti Torte was so very good! :) it was really funny to see the kids get fooled with the jello drinks..lol and the strawberry cake also yummy!:) Maybe, I’m the one that got fooled the most when Mr. T. ask to do my hair. I figured he wanted to do me up nice, right, so I say go for it. He seem surprised that I said that. So now, I look like the fooled one..lol what ya going to do? mmmmmmmm let me think on that one. Lee & I really did enjoy having you all over tonight, and thanks for the wonderful dinner!and good fun. :) love ya..ma & pa

So awesome! Looks like you guys had a great time on April Fool’s Day and that is an amazing trick that I never would have thought of. I am tucking that recipe away though and will be putting it to good use soon. Thanks for stopping by my blog from the UBP and MomDot. I look forward to reading more from you soon.
Thanks for stopping in Kathleen! Let me know how you like the recipe if you do try it! Next time I might add some more seasonings like garlic, basil, and parsley but it’s good as is too.
OOOhhh I’ll have to remember this from next year, how fun. I froze milk in the kids cereals bowls, topped with cereal in the morning and more milk. It was cute:)
