Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme

1. What is your holiday wish for your family?
My wish is the same as every year, I want everyone to enjoy each others’ company, gather together and feel the comfort of being surrounding by family. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t! let’s hope this year is a good year!

2. What is your Christmas morning tradition?
The kids wake us up at the buttcrack of dawn begging to open gifts. We usually try to head them off with breakfast but they always win and we end up opening everything up! Then we have a delicious breakfast and start getting ready for holiday guests or visiting.

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?
Oh boy that’s a hard one. I would love a huge clothes shopping spree so I could buy things that I actually like instead of what I can afford!

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?
We try to do a lot of decorations and crafts at home instead of buying them all. Handmade decorations are so much more meaningful, especially when you pull them out each year and reminisce about how little the kids were when they made certain ornaments!

5. What games did you play with your family growing up?
We played lots of Yahtzee, Monopoly (my Dad was a ruthless banker!), Uno and Back Alley Bridge!

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?
gathering together at some one’s house (no matter how small!) is a tradition I never want to stop! Santa always leaves a gift on the floor of the kids’ rooms Christmas morning for an early surprise!

7. Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip?
Unless I can take my ENTIRE family with me then I’d rather just stay here! If we could ALL go then I’d take them all with us to Hawii or Disney!

Fable III for my son – he loves RPGs
Nintendo DSi XL Red Bundle for my daughter – she begs for one but it isn’t happening!
the Kinect for Xbox 360 with Kinect Adventures – our whole family would liek to try this out!
