Every year when we take the kids Trick-or-Treating for Halloween I have mixed emotions. On one hand, we love the festivities and excitement of dressing up and running around our small town in the dark with all of the other ghouls and goblins.
Then I think of all the candy my kids will come home with. Which makes me think of upset tummies and sugar glazed eyes. Then I wish for something better. Of course you get a few brave souls that like to pass out freeze pops (unfrozen of course!), toothbrushes, and sugar free gum but the kids don’t get too much fun from those items. Enter the new Halloween Googly Bands!
This year you can pass out something the kids can actually keep and have fun with, and you can feel good about! Pie flipped out over the new shapes that were included in the Halloween pack. There are witches, howling wolves, ghosts, pumpkins, scarecrows, cats, rats, bats, spiders, bones, coffins, zombies and more included in this seasonal series. Pie’s birthday just happened to be this month so I doled out the packs of Googly Bands in her party goers treat bags. They were a big hit with the girls and they all spent a good half hour or so trading, examining, stretching and wearing their new bands.
You can find the Halloween Googly Bands in Walgreens, they come in the regular 12-packs, or in a bigger treat bag that contains 18 individual packs. Each pack then holds 3 Halloween Googly Bands each so you can hand them out to trick-or-treaters! They come in cool colors including black, green, orange, purple and even a few glow in the dark ones!
Keep up to date with Googly Bands: Facebook Twitter Blog They often run contests and giveaways on all of these social networks so keep an eye out for those promotions!
This is a great idea! I found them at the dollar store also!
Oh! I had no idea they were at the Dollar Store! Thanks so much for sharing :)
You can buy them at the Dollar Store but if you think a bit it can be easilly made by you. It just takes couple of minutes and a good idea ;)
Well, I may be a year late on this post, but this is a wonderful idea and in plenty of time for me to find the Googly bands for this halloween. If these bands are still available, I’m going to put them on my site as a great alternative to treats.
