Pie made it home from an early school day in time to help cut out the leaves and pumpkins for the pie decorations. I know, the cheesecake is cracked right down the center but I’ll cover it up with a can of extra cherry cherry pie filling, yum! No one will know he difference. I forgot to put the 2 Tbs of melted butter into the pecan pie so I’m hoping it still turns out, it looks good! The french silk pie will get a heaping cloud of sweetened whipped cream and a sprinkle of shaved chocolate right before serving.
I’ve got my turkey rinsed and rubbed delicious smelling olive oil, rosemary, thyme and garlic in between the skin and breast! All I have to do in the morning is saute my chopped onions and celery in butter, mix up the stuffing and stuff the bird. I think I’m going to try roasting it in one of those Oven Bags, I’m not sure yet though, I’ve never tried it that way before. We’ll see how I feel about t in the morning! I was going to buy dried stuffing cubes but they were so much more than I was willing to pay. Instead we bought several loaves of white and wheat bread for .69 each. I dried them in the oven and then cut them into cubes myself. I bet they’ll taste better than those dried out bagged ones anyway!
That’s what I’ll be up to tomorrow! My Mom & Lee, Step-sis & her family are coming over. We’re having a small Thanksgiving this year, it will be nice to visit and relax. I am so thankful for this wonderful family of mine! I’m thankful for all of you awesome readers too! Whatever your plans I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
I’ll be back sometime this weekend if I survive my Pie coma!
