A Thousand Word Thursday

Cheaper Than Therapy

I finally cooked, sieved and froze these tomatoes that had been lounging around on first my counter then the table for days. (The pile was much bigger byt the time I got to them, lol)

Pie found this tomato amusing :)

I also finally got around to shredding up all the zucchini that was strewn around the toaster, counter and stovetop. I have lots of zucchini for winter bread making now! Yum!

I’m getting to these, slowly but surely.
We’ve been eating mashed potatoes, boiled, buttered, parsly-ed potatoes, baked potaotes, potato soup. Maybe I’ll make some scalloped potatoes this weekend to use up some more!

Great pictures. I love potatoes and tomatoes. Seems like a lot of work, so that's probably why I don't have my own garden. Happy ATWT and take care.

Wow! That's quite a haul! I planted my first garden this year and got a lot of good stuff. Next year I'm going a little bigger!

Wonderful photos of nature's bounty! We don't have garden, but our counter was looking like that with gifts from friends who do!

    Happy ATWT!

You tackled the pile, good for you. I have a huge pile of tomatoes and peppers sitting on my kitchen table waiting to be processed, maybe tonight I'll get around to it.

We just got to the tomatoes last week. Pretty good.

Also I saw a recipe on I think "Cooking During Stolen Moments" blog for meatloaf pie. Meatloaf crust mashed potato filling cheese topping. It looked awesome and like a new trick for potatoes!
