The Pirate Fairy movie sets sail on Blu-Ray!

Pirate Fairy Tinker Bell movie

I’m not gonna lie… When I saw the preview for the newest Tinker Bell movie on TV last week, I squealed like a little girl! I love Disney’s Tinker Bell movies, and though my 13 year old daughter hates to admit it — she does too! The newest installment, The Pirate Fairy, will follow the swashbuckling adventures of Zarina, voiced by Christina Hendricks.

Zarina is a dust-keeper fairy who is captivated by the endless possibilities of Blue Pixie Dust. When her wild ideas get her into all sorts of predicaments, she flees Pixie Hollow to join forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock. Tinker Bell (voiced by the lovely Mae Whitman) joins forces with her friends to find Zalana. Their search takes them on an adventure full of swords, laughter, magic and excitement. Joined by Tom Hiddleston, Lucy Liu, Raven- Symone, Megan Hilty, and Anjelica Huston — this tale is bound to be as breathtaking as the previous Tinker Bell movies.

Natasha Bedingfield songs featured in upcoming movie – The Pirate Fairy

Natasha Bedingfield has two songs featured in the upcoming movie. I love her music so was happy to hear of her involvement. Says Bedingfield, “Being part of ‘The Pirate Fairy’ was fantastic, I like pirates and I really love fairies, so I could think of nothing better than working on a song for the movie that brings these things together. It really has everything I love in it.”

The Pirate Fairy will feature two of Bedingfield’s songs:

  • “Who I Am” (written by Adam Watts and Andy Dodd and produced by Watts, Dodd and Bedingfield)
  • “Weightless” (Less Is More Version; written by Bedingfield, Stephen Kipner, Wayne Wilkins and Andre Merritt)

Check out this sneak peak of the Who I Am video, and look for The Pirate Fairy out on Blu-ray Combo Pack April 1, 2014!

I have to say that this next tale looks epic! I cannot wait to see how Zarina fits in with the other fairies form Pixie Hollow and I hope there is a happy ending for all!

My 8 year old daughter goes crazy for the Tinker Bell movies. I hope it’s something she doesn’t grow out of. But, I’m not sure she’s seen this preview, yet! If she had, she’d be talking my ear off about it. Can’t wait to show her!!

I think Christina Hendricks and Natasha Bedingfield are actually two different people playing the same character. :) Christina (Joan on Mad Men) is doing the speaking voice and Natasha is the singing voice.

We LOVE all the Fairies movies and have been eagerly waiting for this one!
