Holiday Gift Guide: Dog Park Publishing Calendars & Dog Treats #giftguide

rvwgvwy-disclosure

Years ago, Chris and I used to own a Pit Bull. His name was Conan and he was the most amazing dog… our son used to play with him and lay on him and pull his ears and tail and Conan just loved him. Coney Norris (as we used to call him) passed away from old age and while we never got another Pit Bull, we have a soft spot in our hearts for these beautiful and intelligent animals. That’s why I always like to hear about individuals and companies who are actively portraying Pit Bulls as so many of us dog lovers know they are — a very loving and misunderstood breed of dog. I mean have you ever seen a Pittie smile? It’s heart-melting!

Dog Park Publishing is one such company. Based out of New Jersey, this company strives to break through the stereotypes attached to Pitties, while supporting shelters and rescues for all dog breeds. I was excited to recently receive two beautiful Pit Bull themed Calendars from Dog Park Publishing.

These 12″ x 12″ earth-friendly calendars are made from 10% post-consumer waste and are FSC-certified as environmentally-conscious. For every calendar purchased, a portion is donated to Pit Bull rescue groups!

Painted Pit Bulls 2014 Calendar features 12 Pop Art images by Brooklyn-based artist Dean Russo. The images are so expressive and with phrases such as “A Dog Wags Its Tail With Its Heart”  and “A Dog Is The Only Creature Evolved Enough To Convey Pure Joy,” you’ll be smiling every time you look at the calendar!

For the Love of Pit Bulls 2014 Calendar features a dozen candid Pit Bull photos by Jennifer White. From adorable Pit Bull puppies to stately adult cuddlers, each page features a Pit Bull who has been rescued and is now thriving — their heartwarming stories are included on the bottom of each page as well!

Besides calendars for the dog over, Dog Park Publishing also offers an assortment of toys and treats for your favorite canine companion! They sent Ginger a 100% All Natural Deer antler chew, to test out.

Now I will be honest and say that I didn’t think Ginger would like this treat. She has never liked any kind of hard treat or rawhide bone and has always turned her nose up at them. Not so with this split deer antler! Ginger has actually went to pick it up from the floor without prompting and chewed on it several times since receiving it! Now, I know what to get her for Christmas :) I am loving that this is a mess free dog treat that’s actually healthy for her! Split antler chews are available in small, medium and large sizes — for every dog breed’s enjoyment!
