It was a chilly yet beautiful day for our family’s annual gathering at this park this past weekend! I didn’t realize it was the 38th year! I have been going for many of those. It’s fun to reconnect with family I don’t get to see often, yet very sad to look around and see all of the empty spaces that our loved ones have left behind. Does your family have a reunion?

I have no idea who these ladies even are. I just know we’re related and they are in charge of the auction every year. This is the fun way we raise funds to pay for the food and pavilion every year! you never know what you’re going to end up buying! I got a big Angel snowglobe this year!

Aww I love this! My fiance’s family is having their reunion this Saturday and I can’t wait. So much fun and so great to see everyone. My side of the family would have one but they live all over the world so airfare is prohibiting it, LOL.

I never go. I get tired of hearing, my have you grown and I look at them like who are you?? I used to go when I was younger but now ah just not my thing. Glad you had a great time.

We haven’t had a big family reunion in years. I miss them. When I first started dating my husband his mother’s family always had a big get together the day after Thanksgiving. It was great.

How fun! My family in Wisconsin has been having a reunion for years…we used to rent this VFW hall…now it’s down to a few families who come and it’s at my great-aunts farm. Sad how time changes – but it’s always great to see relatives and how people change.

An auction at a family reunion sounds pretty neat. I have a very large family and see a lot of them often but there’s still quite a few I don’t get to see like I’d like to. It’s been years since we’ve had a family reunion. I think that it’s cool that you’re on the 38th year of one.
