Gain peace of mind with Free Recall Plus app #RecallsPlus

As consumers and parents, it can be a daunting task trying to keep up with the many recalls that happen each month! With products from toys to clothing to foods posing a hazard , I would like to be updated on recent recalls without spending hours researching. Recently, I was introduced to the Recalls Plus app via SheSpeaks.

This new free recalls app is a great way for consumers to keep track of children’s products and food allergen recalls. Created by SAP, the new app will allow parents to actively monitor and track all of their household’s toys, baby gear and food items for undeclared allergens and recall alerts.

Recalls Plus is available for download via the iTunes App Store (iPhone), the Google Play App store (Android) and even as a Facebook App! Once you have downloaded the app on your chosen device, you can use it to:

  • Search recall history by brand or category
  • Create a personal watch list of items like car seats, cribs, strollers, and so on
  • Track allergen-related recalls
  • Share relevant recalls with others
  • Read and monitor recalls from all relevant U.S. government agencies (CPSC, NHTSA, FDA, and USDA)

Since the preset ages available in the app are too young to be of use in my home, I love that I can use the watch list to enter individual products and items that I would like to keep an eye on.

The Recall Details page is a very useful tool to help me decide whether or not the product I have is part of the recall, or if the recall is something that I need to act on or not. I like that I can set up my phone app to have push notifications turned on or off — whichever I find more convenient.

Personally, I do not like to have all of my apps send me push notifications so I have it turned off right now, it’s nice to have that option. I also like that I was able to sign into the app using my Facebook credentials — so easy!

Recalls Plus is created by SAP—a market leader in enterprise application software, who’s vision is to help the world run better. Recalls Plus marks the first consumer-facing app developed by SAP – and more apps are on the way!

Check out the Recalls Plus download so that you too can keep up with all of the recalls! It’s a very easy to use app and it’s free!

I would love to have this app. First I have to get a better phone, but when I do (soon) I’ll look into this. I like that you can turn off the ‘push’ notification also. I would just get in the habit of checking it every now and then. Thanks!
