Random thoughts about my Christmas Tree – {almost} Wordless Wednesday

Sorry I feel wordy today, skip to the pics if you just want {wordlesss}. Our tree is up. I remembered to buy candy canes before Christmas Eve this year, go me!

For some strange reason I keep thinking the tree is a heater. I randomly get up and go stand by it  several times a day, like it’s going to warm me up. I think this must mean my brain is stressin’ out on me!

I keep telling myself – The tree is not a heater… the tree is not a heater! But I don’t believe it.

This is a fake tree. A fake tree with white lights. I swore I would always always have a real tree. A real tree with strings and strings of multi-colored lights. Then I got tired of vacuuming up pine needles in July. All of the decent looking fake trees have white lights, at least the affordable ones.

Do you remember laying underneath the Christmas tree when you were a kid just to enjoy the sparkling lights? I caught Pie doing this very thing the other day. Next time, I’ll join in.

Also, I just entered this contest and am guessing the tree has 1711 mini candy canes on it!

Even though it is a fake tree, it looks great because it has been beautifully decorated. I love the idea of lying down under a tree even if it is a natural tree. we used to do that when we used to visit our grand parents living in the country side.

It is a wonderful X-mas tress sparkling with beautiful lights. When I was small I used to sit around the tree and wait for Santa to come and gift me a toy :-)

Great photos! The warm glow of the Christmas tree at night is so peaceful and wonderful. I laughed at the part where you said you’d been standing in front of the tree like it was a heater! LOL! I totally know where you’re coming from!

We have to have a fake tree because of the cat. Even if yours is fake, it is truly lovely! I also used to lay under the tree looking at lights for hours. I miss that.

I was lazy and just looked at the pic. LOL I love that your daughter is under the tree – this is the first year that my daughter hasn’t begged to sleep under the tree the first night it went up!

You know you’re right….I need to take the gate down from around the tree so the girls can just lay below it and look up at the lights.

    Beautiful tree!

your tree looks beautiful! esp w/pie under it! I love the twinkles too & watching little faces gazing & dreaming of things to come :) mine is fake too, and hubby likes it up all year! so it has ornaments & “things” that represent all holidays & seasons year round. of course he doesn’t have to dust it!

Its beautiful. And I go stand in front of mine a few times a day too. Might not be to warm me up, but it certainly does lift my mood and relieve some stress. Hard to be crabby staring at something so beautiful lol

Your tree is so pretty and it’s funny you think it’s a heater. I think old style lights put off some heat, so maybe that’s what you’re thinking of?
