Musical Talent – {almost} Wordless Wednesday

Last week, we attended our daughter’s very first group band performance! The Winter Concert featured her fifth grade chorus and band members. They played several short sets — and sounded really good for only having a few practice sessions under their belts! They finished up the hour long event with some wonderful holiday songs. “There’s No School Tomorrow” was a crowd favorite :).

Mom and Lee joined us and I think they had a nice time. I was snapping this sweet picture of them when my friend snuck up behind me and waved her hand in front of my camera — bad! {who then almost had karma bite her in the butt when she almost fell of the bleachers trying to get a picture of her daughter by the decorated tree — yep I saw that! lol}! I think the picture still turned out well though!

My son would love to join band in fifth, but they don’t have it here.

Your daughter looks great! They don’t have band here until grade 9, but my son joined then and it was great. He went on a band trip to the Bahamas, and it lead him to join a local choir after high school, where he got to tour Europe. The arts provide great opportunities!
