Wordless Wednesday – The Elusive Teenager!

Even my loyal blog readers may not realize that we do actually have a teenager in the house.

I took a moment to snap some photos last week when there was a rare teen sighting, and an outside one no less! These sightings are far and few between as said teen is usually holed up in a deep dark cavern with his thumbs attached to some strange instrument of amusement called “THE XBOX”.

Last Friday was 80’s day at school and I think Mr.T. did a great job. ROCK ON Dude!

my sonp.s. my boy is growing whiskers…. *SOB, *gasp, *cry…

  1. OMG I think Matt had that” EXACT “outfit when he was 14 or 15 I think they stold it from Bon Jovi LOL love the look Tom. :)

  2. He totally looks like some of the pictures I’ve seen from the 80’s. I’m a young one so I don’t quite “remember” the 80’s though ;)

  3. YES Totally!!! Great job. brings me back to my high school days

  4. wow!!! 80’s for sure!

  5. he did a great job.

  6. Reminds me of Adam Lambert from American Idol. Love the maroon jeans… think I had a pair that color in the 80’s!

    • Haha! He said thanks :) he actually wears everything in this photo anyways, except for the bandanna and he never tucks his shirts in or wears his bangs like that. I love his pants too, I wish I could fit into them!

  7. He looks great! I do remember the 80’s!! Whiskers – ughh! :)

  8. HA..Love it! I feel so uncreative my kids had 80’s day a few days ago but I chose to skip it

    • I hear ya, honestly I had nothing to do with it except to tell him he looked pretty darn good! He was excited to dress up, in high school they don’t get very many chances to mess around like that.

  9. Yes, teenagers are a rare sighting here too, until I hear “MOM, I need some money!”
He’s handsome! They grow up too fast!!

    • Exactly! or my favorite, mom can you drive me her, or mom can you go pick up so and so and bring them here then take them home, BLAH!

  10. I love it, I’m an 80’s girl all the way. I was born in 1980 so still love every part of it. He is rocking, and I’ll be sobbing too when mine gets whiskers:(

  11. totally awesome, dude!

  12. I’m dreading the day when I have three teenage sons in the house! At least yours is cute…? Maybe it’s good he’s holed up. At least he’s not out getting into trouble. :)

    • That is so true Rhea! He’s a good kid and I’m thankful for that which is why I don’t get on him too much about his video games :)

  13. LOL! He looks like a lot of guys I knew in the 80s. I get excited at the rare teen sightings around here too. Sometimes I think people probably don’t believe I have a teenager!

  14. I have a son who just turned 18 and he grew a full beard during the holidays (*gasp, sigh, tears*). They’re really nice at any age.

My son knows that box of which you speak, too, btw. ;)

    Cool 80’s pic.

    • Oh my! A full beard! Mine says he’s growing his out on the bottom until the end of the school year. What you see there is only a couple days worth of growth. Oh how I wish he would slow down lol!

  15. Love this! He did a great job, do teens really hide? I am not looking forward to that!

    • Oh yes, they hide. You just have to go into their room once in awhile and bug the crap out of the, then thy come out.. sometimes. Or yell that there’s food and they come running :)

  16. Great job! I had flashbacks!

  18. He looks awesome! I love the pics!

  19. Wow, you were able to snap him out in the sunshine! that is a difficult achievement as I recall. whiskers, LOL, my guys have more facial hair than their dad… way more! Hahahaa

  20. He totally looks like an 80’s rocker, pretty handsome, too.
I remember when my boys first started sprouting whiskers, made me cry. Their’s were blond so you could hardly see them however, not like your son’s that are dark.
    Very nice photos.

  21. He’s got that 80s look down pat!

  22. OMG that brings back memories!!! He looks great.

  23. Could easily be a stand-in for the bass player of Poison.

  24. very cool!!!

  25. I love the 80s clothes.

  26. Nice look! Very cool! I like that! Thanks for sharing, Henrietta!
