Nutrish Just 6 dry dog food review

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Nutrish for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Our Ginger dog is a big part of our family, we love her so much and she knows it since she’s just a little bit spoiled. that’s why I’m pretty ashamed to admit that we haven’t been giving her food choice as much thought as we should have over the years. Ginger is around eight now and she has been putting on too much weight this past year, it’s starting to affect her hips and really worrying me. This has caused me to start taking notice of how we care for her. When I heard of the new Rachael Ray Nutrish just 6 dry dog food, I was interested in finding out what benefits it could have for our furriest family member.

Ginger received a nice sample bag of the Nutrish Just 6 Lamb Meal and Brown Rice Recipe dog food to try. When I first unwrapped the package Ginger’s nose started going off at once! As I poured half of the bag into the cute little bowl she started to drool. Ginger only drools when something smells good. Nutrish does smell pretty good for dog food, sometimes the smell of certain ones make me want to gag but this particular bag wasn’t bad at all.

As you’ll see in the video, Ginger didn’t hesitate at all to try our her snack, she just dug right in!  And kept on going. After the video, I set the bowl by her usual bowl of food and she finished it off, then didn’t touch her usual food. Ginger really loved trying this new, healthier food!

Ginger tried her usual dog food and new Nutrish. Nutrish won!

Honestly, she really hasn’t loved the food we’ve been feeding her anyway, unless it’s covered in some kind of human food. I know this is why she has such a problem with her weight and I am actively trying to stop myself and my family from giving her so many scraps from our dinner table. It isn’t easy but we are getting better. Then I did what I was dreading and looked on the back of the bag of her normal food. The first ingredient is corn, oh I feel horrible! I think this is most likely the reason why she has gas so often and a major reason why we need to give her healthier choices, even if they are higher in cost. Her life is certainly worth a few more dollars a month if that’s what it takes!

video note: I apologize, but I do believe I’m saying Nutrish wrong! I’m not sure but didn’t realize until after recording! I think instead of New-treesh like I did, it should probably be New-trish just as looks. Sorry!

You can try new Rachael Ray Nutrish just 6® dry dog food too when you sign up for a free sample. If and when you do make the switch to Nutrish, you’ll really feel good knowing that while you’re helping your own dog live healthier, other animals will also benefit.

Racael Ray definitely has a soft spot for her own pooch, Isaboo. Just the thought of abused, neglected, and mistreated animals alone can break your heart, that’s why Rachael created the Rachael’s rescue website that showcases some of the organizations that  are dedicated to helping animals in need. Also, out of every purchase of dog food, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to organizations like the ones showcased to continue to help animals. It’s a great way to support them!

I also love Rachael Ray’s dedication to animals. However the Just 6 isn’t just 6… there is menadione in this product… a controversial form of vitamin K linked to liver toxicity, allergies and the abnormal break-down of red blood cells. I am so disappointed in Rachael Ray for having menadione in this product. Why would she put it in?? I would be afraid to give this to my dog.
