New Hefty Basics disposable tableware

Tell me I’m not the only one who has a lazy day! Tell me that you get tired of the dishwashing sometimes too and resort to using disposable tableware. Come on I know you do! Well even though I use it, it doesn’t mean that it makes me feel good about myself. In fact, when I grab that bag of foam plates from the shelf, it usually makes me feel very guilty about the harm it causes to our environment. Sure, I could use  paper plates, but come on, have you tried using a paper plate to serve dinner to your family on? They just do not work, the plate gets soggy and falls apart before you’re even done, talk about embarrassing! That is until now! Hefty® Basics™ paper plates just might change the way you look at disposable tableware!

Hefty basics

Hefty® Basics™ paper plates are stronger than everyday plates at a value price, and provide a great choice for people interested in an environmental optional. The plates are biodegradable in-home composting and free of inks, dyes, or coating.

They are available in two sizes: a 10 1/4″ 24 pack and a 8 5/8″ 45 pack, to accommodate a variety of serving needs.

We’ve been using the ones we received to review and I have to say I am impressed! The tomato sauce for our Perogies, which would usually kill a normal paper plate, was no match for the Hefty basics! Our plates stayed intact throughout the meal and didn’t peel or seep through the bottom at all. I am happy with the simple design of the tableware and love the fact that they do not have any un-needed dyes. As the packaging says, these plates truly are “strong and durable“!

Hefty® Basics™ is helping our Earth even more by partnering with The Arbor Day Foundation. Together they are striving for a goal of planting 10,000 new trees! How can you help? Visit Hefty(R) Basics(TM) Tableware on Facebook and “Like” them. For every 10 Likes they receive, the Arbor Day Foundation will plant one tree. Let’s make a difference together!

We are responsible in that we don’t throw garbage on the ground and we pick up after ourselves; but we don’t share the same views as the politically-correct in that man can destroy the earth. We believe that only God can do that. We also don’t recycle. My husband worked in recycling, and we are aware that most of the stuff people are separating for recycling ends up getting dumped right back in with the regular garbage. There is not much money in recycling and very little gets bought back.

    • 17

@Denise B., I have wondered about this as well since I have a few friends who say that they’ve seen the garbage truck dump all four of the separate recycle bins right into the same truck at once. It’s kind of discouraging! Thanks for entering and good luck!
