When I was asked to review Holey Donuts I jumped at the chance! My family loves donuts but we don’t buy them very often because they are usually so full of fat and sugar! My View:
Super Genius and I were home alone when the box of goodies arrived. I opened it up and he was thrilled to find the boxes packed in a cooler of dry ice (he had fun playing with it later, showing the kids how it evaporates, lol). The donuts were completely frozen and DELICIOUS looking! We decided they also looked lonely and tested the first box of Jumbo Cinnamon Buns right then and there! We followed the package directions and individually thawed a bun each in the microwave for about a minute (at 10 sec intervals) until they were warm.
I took a pic for you guys of course! I knew you’d want to see that glaze running down the donut! Yum! Those Cinnamon Buns were so yummy, they really tasted like I had just pulled them out of the oven, only I’m ashamed to admit it, they were better! Soft, slightly gooey in a really good way, sweet without a sickly sweet taste, thick and man are they FRESH! They were so good that Hubby and I had to eat another one each just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. Nope, the second one was just as good as the first one! I don’t recommend rationalizing that you should eat 2 every time since the donuts are so low fat, BUT this was for you! We had to make sure they were as yummy as we thought they were, all for you baby :)
We hid the other boxes in the freezer because we were debating sharing them with the kiddos, but decided that to be fair we should probably share! A few days later I pulled them out and we all had one (NO! we didn’t tell them mom & dad had already tested them, they’re on a strictly need to know basis!). They loved them too and the poor souls asked for more but of course there weren’t any! I do have the last box hidden! I’m saving it for Christmas morning :) See I’m a good mommy after all! I only broke off ONE of the Low Fat Cinnamon Bun Middles just this morning so I could take a picture of it for you, and then I ate it. Shh! Don’t tell anyone! They’ll never know. That middle was as good as the Jumbo and I wish I could have another right now. Willpower!!!
In conclusions, Holey Donuts rock! They Kick major butt and I wish I could eat one or three every morning. Seriously people, they’re good!
