Smucker’s Uncrustables Review + get a free box!

My kids are always “starving to death, mom” after school. Wait, I take that back, my kids are ALWAYS “starving to death!” At least they think they are. I think they just like to snack, and usually the things they choose don’t fill them up, so then we’re back to the starving to death part again! Thanks to Mom Central our family was able to test out a box of Smucker’s Uncrustables!

Smucker’s offers Uncrustables in several yummy flavor combos including:

We really wanted to try the new Whole wheat version, but or store only carries the first three on the list. We decided to try the PB & Grape Jelly Uncrustables. I left the box on the counter for 30 minutes to let them thaw out. The box says to thaw at room temp and use within 8-10 hours. Of course curious people were tearing open the box before they were even thawed! After explaining they were frozen, T & Pie were happy to wait. If you can’t tell by the ecstatic look on Mr.T.’s face over there, it was worth the wait, he loved them!

I kept thinking that they looked a little small so I picked one up to try as well. The sandwich was not as light as I thought it would be! I figured it would be mostly bread, but NO! When I bit into it I immediately thought, “Wow! this is peanut buttery!”. What I really liked was that there was a layer f the grape jelly in between the 2 layers of peanut butter. I thin they must do this to keep the bread from getting soggy It works! Even after thawing and sitting for a few hours on the counter they weren’t at all soggy!

My daughter has outgrown the “I-won’t-eat-it-unless-the-crust-is-meticulously-cut-off” phase, but all you parents out there still dealing with this should absolutely love the convenience of these little crustless pockets. I think they make a great after school snack, mid-morning snack, lunch box addition, totally portable after school activity snack, or even a late night treat for parents!
